Constructivism is providing students with the opportunity to construct meaning through a variety of learning experiences including hands on activities, differentiated instruction, etc. Constructivism is activating prior knowledge in order to allow students to understand and relate new knowledge. Constructivism is exploration. A constructivist classroom doesn't just happen. It is created through the teacher and the students working together.
