A new way of teaching math

Math has never been my strong point, however, this class has shown me a new outlook on teaching math. I have found that I have to focus and pay close attention at every single class period, however, I feel that I am feeling more comfortable about teaching math than I was at the beginning of the semester. I like the idea of teaching towards the common core standards; I feel that this will be very helpful for the students as well as us (the teachers!)
